I was born as a Javanese (parents are from Kudus & Surabaya). Eating sweet food is our culture. And that's what lead me into baking. My first time baking was when in High School. I baked my family secret recipe which what we called "baked-banana-cheese", without anyhelp from my mum or even my sisters. The cake was as perfect as it always had been just as perfect as when made by my sister. I just used my own feelings when I baked it. I think that's because I'm used to sweet food, so I didn't have any difficulties in baking it. I had succeded as a firstimer. So, since then I became addicted to making desserts as well as eating them. Eating something that you make by yourself is such an indulgence. No wonder, most of the best chef are a lil' bit chubby&chunky ;p.

On the contrary, mostly  I  usually failed in cooking. I was never a good cook, unlike my grandmas, mum, aunts and sisters were. I, myself was stuck in baking.... Until I found him.


Since I got married to Indra Muliawan, I  had to cook for ourselves(mm..actually only for him) and my mom made me.. ;p.

It never cross my mind, that someday I'll be a chef in my own house. At one time, I considered hiring a servant who can cook for me and my hubby, since I was definitely not into and capable of cooking. But then again, maybe luck exists or maybe,  I can actually cook but hadn't had enough spirit to do so ;p. Not only Now can I bake, I can also cook. Lots of trials and errors have made me a better domestic-chef.
